This Article is about an empirical study of collaborative learning as a pedagogical tool to develop intercultural competence in a multicultural class. Using two collaborative projects, the study testifies the value of using collaborative learning method to develop intercultural competence in a multicultural class from the perspectives of objectives, grouping, procedure, and results. The results indicate that the use of collaborative learning method in a multicultural class is effective for the development of learners’ intercultural competence.
The article shows an example of how you can use collaborative learning as pedagogical tool to develop intercultural competence. After reading, you can try out how you can implement it in training groups.
