Summary

The sector of childhood education services is nowadays crossed by important changes and innovations at both legislative and institutional levels: new sceneries are being thought about and planned for; further possibilities are being offered for early childhood education and care; innovations, though, keep calling back “classic” themes, questions and reflections in education and early childhood pedagogy.

Accordingly, the book addresses a number of questions, namely: parental participation in the life of educational services in a plural and intercultural perspective; educator training; 0-6 education continuity; children group organisation (e.g. vertical or horizontal groups); as well as some specific aspects of service organisation (e.g. early entry to nursery school, or spring sections).
