Summary

An increasing amount of young children has a limited vocabulary, because of the fact that they speak another language at home or because their parents had a lower education. The education of vocabulary in early childhood education is controversial and complex. The article looks at the different points of view during the world-word-project. An alternative framework is presented for this didactics, with different kinds of methodologies.
